Off-season is not really off......

Many Cougar football players are participating in other sports and activities that add to their abilities, achievements, and character. This brings honor to the school and helps realize additional player's goals for their high school years.

Mr. Bothell

Nate Mr. BothellMr. Bothell is the high school's equivalent of the Mr. America pageant. It is complete with dance numbers (in togas), talent show, formal wear, and the intimidating "secret question." Jon Kirchner was the first Sophomore to take Mr. Bothell last year. This year he handed off his crown to Nate Proulx. Cheerleader Brittany Leeman helped MC.Amigos The sound of crowd appreciation was mostly in the form of laughter. If you want a sample, ask Johnny Hekker to treat you to his magic act. Coach Bainter was in tears! The event was a very successfull fundraiser for the Make a Wish foundation. Great job men, who knew you would clean up so well.

Baseball:

Cody baseballThis Friday night the boys baseball team competes in the State Semi-Finals. For these boys it is two rides to the dance this year! That just goes to show what a talented group of athletes we have at Bothell. They have been battling up through the brackets to face Richland at Safeco Field Friday night 5/25 at 7pm.

The football players competing on the team hold some key positions and include seniors, juniors, as well as sophomores. Cody Atkinson, Derek Stottlemeyer, Cory Burke, Craig Monson, Tyler Atkinson, Taylor Hudson, Kurt Stottlemeyer, Jamie Mulvihill, James Korn, and others I may have missed. Congratulations on a teriffic baseball season. Go get a state trophy.

John and Ben leapThis winter Justin Kruger, Derek Stottlemeyer, Kurt Stottlemeyer, Justin Steinbach, Johnny Hekker, Ben Moshel, James Korn, Andrew Curtright, Jackson Pierce, Michael Call, and Robby Storm played basketball and were contributers to their teams, once all the football and other injuries healed. Justn and Derek
Even with all the activities at school several of these boys also went out for spring ball with Coach Willis. They ended up having a great set of games at BCC.

Track

Jason Throws javelinJon Kirchner, Nate Proulx, Johnny Hekker, Patrick Otterbeck, Jason Erickson, Matt Cornwall, Robert Schaeffer, Evan Watts, Michael Call, Casey McDaniel, Thomas Guidon, and Coach Williams all worked hard during the season with special victories in the field events. Jason Ericson will go to state in javelin throw. pole vaulters

The individual competition on the track field is quite a change from the intense team play of football. You can see that the bonds that were formed on the turf of Pop Keeney still remain strong. They are each other's strongest supporters. You can tell that these boys are a force on any field.

Soccer

Conner Risden joined Coach Alec Zahajko's soccer team and kept up his speed and endurance and accuracy with that magic foot that got us through last season.

The Arts

Other players joined the choirs and participated in theatrical productions. They were active in the whole community making memories and having fun. Julian Haiel was in the choir. It is a great thing to have someone who sings like an angle and hits like a tank.

Lacrosse

Lacrosse is a fairly new sport to this area and is quickly becoming popular.Teams have had to travel quite a bit to be part of a team in the past. Northshore now has a team with several Bothell football players. Bowen Hadley is a junior this year and up-coming sophomores Scott Barclay, Alex Walker, and Jake Dossett also play.
