Seattle P-I All Area Team
Patrick Ottorbech - Bothell, seniorWHAT HE DID: The KingCo 4A offensive player of the Year and Mr. Offense for Bothell is a first-team running back who gained 1,563 yards and tallied 22 touchdowns. He also was a second-team linebacker as a junior.
HOW HE DID IT: Ottorbech credits his father, a former professional soccer and rugby player in Fiji, for helping him learn the value of hard work and dedication, and his mother for keeping him focused at school.
WHAT HE'LL DO NEXT: The winter will be a time for Ottorbech to work out and prepare for the track season, where he'll run sprints, the 4x100 relay and the triple jump. He'll be visiting several colleges this winter.
Seattle Times All Area Team - Defense
Kurt StottlemyerBothell, DB, 5-10, 170, Sr.
Stottlemyer was co-defensive player of the year in the KingCo 4A Crown Division after playing cornerback and locking down opposing teams' top receivers. He finished with three interceptions even though teams rarely threw his way.
