ImageBothell plans to leave at 9 a.m. Friday for Spokane, where the top-ranked Cougars (12-0) will play No. 2 Ferris (12-0) in a 4A semifinal on Saturday.

The Cougars will have a walk-through practice Friday at Albi Stadium, where the temperature isn't expected to reach 40 this weekend.

Ferris beat Graham-Kapowsin 49-14 in the quarterfinals.

Bothell coach Tom Bainter said the Saxons might be quick enough to negate the Cougars' speed, their greatest advantage.

"We're playing a team that scares me because they're fast," Bainter said. "Big, you can get around. Speed, you can't."

Jared Karstetter, a 6-4 Ferris receiver who also played on the school's state-champion basketball team, has committed to Washington State.
